Where do you go next when Red Dead Redemption 2 has pushed sandbox gaming to its limits? Back to the start, reckons Fallen Tree Games, whose American Fugitive is inspired by '80s action flicks and looks like the top-down Grand Theft Autos of old. You play as Will Riley , who, after wrongly being thrown in jail for murdering his dad , manages to break out As a fugitive in a sleepy rural town in America, you take on missions from a host of shady characters as you attempt to track down the real culprit And while he may have unjustly ended up behind bars , Riley isn't exactly a law-abiding saint You can ransack any of Redrock County 's houses, get yourself a gun and pinch any car you like. Of course , it wouldn't be a GTA-inspired adventure without some old-fashioned police chases. And if hunting your old man's killer gets a bit intense, the developer has peppered this world with stunt jumps, time trials, loot stashes and collectables. American Fugitive sounds tailor -made for bite – size sessions, so we're very glad indeed that a Nintendo Switch version has just been confirmed.
